DiskClick
A downloadable tool
Ever wanted to hear old hard drive sounds on your computer, but don't want to go find an old PC or dig up an old, slow, clunker hard drive? Well, fear not! This program will let you emulate the disk sounds of anything you want from a floppy to a rickroll. This program monitors the disk activity on your C drive and makes disk noises based on real activity.
The program comes with various sound sets from a variety of hard drives. You can also make your own custom sound sets. Each sound set is a folder containing several .wav files:
looping.wav (general ambience/idling)
load.wav (emulated disk sounds)
load2.wav
load3.wav
load4.wav
...etc.
The various load sounds are played in a randomized order during disk activity. If you want to change the sound set, just click "load folder." You can choose from the included sound sets, or make your own using any sound files you want!
